Girls, it’s official. Monthly undies is a thing now. A group of talented and thoughtful ladies from THINX figured it’s time to invent a product that will make our menstrual experience better.

The “Magic Panties” –as ELLE Magazine commented–are designed to minimize chances of leaks and bacterial infection during our special days. Miki Agrawal, CEO and Founder of THINX, invested 3 years of research and hard work to develop a patented technology that claims to eliminate the need for tampons and feminine pads, at the same time keeping us clean and dry.

More than that, THINX funds their partner, AFRIpads, for every pair of undies sold to help girls in Uganda to stay in school while they have their menstrual periods. Yes, many girls in East Africa and beyond don’t have access to basic sanitary pads. They are left with no options but to miss school and spend their “week of shame” at home. This undermines the girls’ opportunity to be educated, and eventually their chances to leave poverty.
