Catching your negative words and thoughts and changing them into positive words and thoughts will help your natural positivity surface. The problem is often not that you are not positive enough (everyone has positivity inside of them, even if it’s hidden deep down), but that you are smothering your positivity with negativity. If you stop the negative words and thoughts in their tracks, and learn to bend your words and thoughts to your advantage, your positivity will be able to shine through.

Another way to use positive words to your advantage is like this. Say, for example, you have issues with your self-confidence. You come up with this affirmation: “I am a strong and confident woman who can take on the world.” Will this make you feel strong and confident, or will it just reiterate to you the fact that you don’t believe you have these traits?

Instead, use an affirmation that helps you stay positive about yourself and invokes motivation and action. “I am in the process of becoming a strong and confident woman who can take on the world.” Can you feel the difference? I hope you can because I can.

If you don’t know what you want, figure it out. Is it self-confidence? Better health? A successful career? Be honest with yourself and figure out what you desire. Be specific. Once you know what you desire, give that desire attention, focus, and action. Then all that you need to do is allow it to happen. Allow yourself to come into possession of your desires, your wishes, your dreams. Don’t let doubts or fears get in the way of your success or happiness. You deserve it, so allow it to come to you.

TL;DR: The Law of Attraction states that your words determine your thoughts, which determine your feelings, which determine your vibes, be it positive or negative. Positive vibes will attract positive things to you, while negative vibes will attract negative things to you. Stop your negative vibes in their tracks by changing your words into positive words (stop using the words ‘don’t’, ‘not’, and ‘no’). Use action-invoking and motivational affirmations instead of affirmations that only ring false to you. Know what you want, give it attention, and allow it to happen.

If anything you read here intrigues you or if you want to learn more about how to use the Law of Attraction to your advantage, I highly recommend seeing Michael Losier speak the next time he is in town, or better yet, pick up one of his books and give it a read. Take responsibility for your life and your actions – you can and will attain what you desire.
