Written by Julianne Keu | I enjoy beer just as much as I enjoyed this video series, which is odd because there are more parallels between the two than one would think. Women stereotypically don’t like the taste of beer, yet they make up 25% of beer drinkers in the U.S. Similarly, Heineken’s new ‘Dropped’ campaign has manly man written all over it, yet it sure has captured the attention of yours truly!

In this reality web series, everyday men allow themselves to be dropped off in unknown places and given near-impossible missions to complete. In the ‘Dropped’ Morocco installment, we see New York photographer William Englehardt venturing into the middle of a castle in a Moroccan desert. His mission is to deliver one ton of ice to a nearby city, despite the hundred-degree temperature. What happens next? You’ll have to see for yourself.

I will say that even though this series is totally not geared toward audiences like me, I like it. I especially liked to see places I’d never seen before. Could I have related to the videos more if the main character was a thrill-seeking woman? Probably. So far Heineken has featured three ‘Dropped’ contenders in three different regions (the other two are Alaska and Cambodia, so make sure to check those out too.) A fourth instalment will be released in August; the contender has yet to be revealed. What type of person do you think he/she will be? Leave your guesses in the comments below!
