The Dressmaker is a bittersweet, comedy-drama film based on the same name bestselling novel by Rosalie Ham. Set in the 1950’s, Kate Winslet plays a dress designer who returns to her small hometown in Australia to take care of her sick mother from her designer career in Paris. Winslet turns the town around by transforming the locals with her expertise in haute couture designs, meanwhile seeks revenge on people who rumoured and accused her of murder when she was at the age of ten.

Directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse, the film also stars Judy Davis, Liam Hemsworth, Sarah Snook and Hugo Weaving. The Dressmaker hits theatres October 22nd this year.
