As Seoul Fashion week Spring/Summer 2016 have come to a close last week, we scrutinized the designs from Day 1 to 7, and picked a few of the bests from the growing fashion-forward and trendsetting city in Asia.


Jarret

Solid femininity interspersed with masculine and bubbly details, Chief Designer Ji Youn Lee takes on a superbly fun approach to tackle high-end fashion. Highlights of the line are an ensemble of bold red silky cape-cut cropped top and high-waisted shorts; well-tailored white button-down, interweaved with see-through texture and playful decorative details.

Ordinary People

Known for creating relaxed yet well-structured menswear and womenswear, Jang Hyeong-Cheol’s SS16 emphasizes on the theme “Active Maestro”, where the designs create a sense of confidence and assertiveness. Ivory patterned biker paired with off-white sweater and striped chiffon shorts for menswear or a loosely fitted off-white blazer and same patterned culottes for womenswear–Ordinary People depicts a strong feel of androgyny.

“I wanted to say goodbye to the typography I have used so many times,” designer Seung Gun Park says farewell to his signature playful prints, and breaks into the realm of high-end fashion for his SS16 collection. Inspirational pieces include a reflective velvet transparent knee-length dress and a playfully designed off-shoulder loose-cut blazer dress. PushBUTTON will be stocked at Opening Ceremony.

Two years old brand Heich es Heich goes all-in this season to vibrant vitality.
